From corrupted roots to faithful druid
Insightful and peculiar, she is captivating to some but repulsive to most others. The first thing that is noticed about Juniper besides her unsophisticated posture is her Drowish origins. Most do not know she once thrived in the deepest caves of the Underdark and was know as V’yra. She was young, agile, and powerful. On the surface she was a cut throat competitor and devoted follower of Lolth. In secrecy she would practice druid magic and worship gods who opposed of Lolth. Actions like these would be considered treason in a Drowish society and could mean certain execution. Eventually, she was exposed and had to flee. She traveled on foot for a month before she reaching the surface. After the journey her appearance was no longer recognizable as an elegant, elven figure but now appeared uncultured and frail. She started her life as a beggar and an out-cast. She wandered from city to village in hopes of opportunity. After being injured after a brawl outside a village she was taken to a small church. V’yra recovered and was sheltered by The Church of Silvanus. After demonstrating an ability of nature magic, the main priest accepted her as an acolyte. She spent her time preforming rituals and broadening her knowledge. After reaching adult-hood at age 109, V’yra declared her name to be Juniper. Maturity motivated her to set out on her own and find a purpose. She hopes to become powerful in her skill instead of corruption. But all is not well, Juniper is in fear of those who creep up from the Underdark seeking revenge.
